Being relaxed and at ease is the first key step to being in the pool. Once the child relaxes and starts to enjoy themselves they can start to move and enjoy the water so much more. This award is designed as a confidence award for children who didn’t settle in the water at first. Confidence has now grown to a level that they are more relaxed and have a positive atitude when they’re in the water. If a child is happy in the water the progression and learning becomes easier and more enjoyable.
