Description

This award celebrates a child who is often not confident in the water. The ability to raise their legs off the floor and bring their feet/body to the water surface is a significant challenge. This achievement is awarded when a child can regularly hold a stable supine floating position with aids. It also celebrates the success of getting their ears into the water as well as their body in a flat and relaxed manner.

Disability

With additional sensivitiy to sensory, lying on your back has a challenge for many. Especially with water in the child ears and the fear of being out of control and also seeing their surroundings from a totally new perspective. That makes this award a huge mile stone to achieve for so many children.
