To be able to learn how to swim children must be relaxed and confident in the water, thus enabling confidence to grow. This is a huge milestone for many and can take a lot of encouragement and reassurance from their swimming teacher and parents alike. Entering the water for the first time can be a daunting time especially if following a stressful situation or even seeing something on television can worry any child. This award is to congratulate children on their constant hardwork, development and progression as they constantly keep trying and facing their worries and pushed as their programs change and become more challenging.
