Travel on back is the first real award for independent movement by a swimmer with aids on. It focuses on the swimmers movement and ability to move from given points on their own, in any style.
Swimmers must have the ability and confidence to self propel, unsupported a suggested distance of 5m on their back using their arms and/or their legs.
Travel on back, many swimmers can find easier to achieve than travel on front, as there is less risk of splashes on their face.
Swimmers can be looking for spiders on the ceiling to help keep their head position back.
Races are a good way of increasing movement from a swimmer.
